Job Overview

As an Electrical Application Engineer, you will bridge the gap between customers and technical solutions. You will be responsible for understanding client requirements, proposing suitable electrical and power system solutions, supporting pre-sales activities, and assisting in project execution. This role requires strong technical knowledge along with good communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

–    Provide technical support for Typhoon HIL Real-Time Emulators and other advanced research products.
–    Assist customers in system configuration, model development, and real-time simulation setup.

–    Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HIL systems at client sites.

–    Develop and test electrical models related to Power Electronics, EV systems, Renewable Energy, and Microgrids.

–    Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept sessions for universities and industries.

–    Prepare technical proposals, compliance documents, and solution architecture based on customer requirements.

–    Coordinate with OEMs and international partners for technical queries and advanced support cases.

–    Provide pre-sales technical consultation to help the sales team close projects.

–    Conduct technical training sessions and workshops for faculty members, researchers, and industry professionals.

–    Prepare application notes, technical documentation, and user guides.

–    Analyze client requirements and recommend suitable hardware & software configurations.

–    Support research labs in setting up power electronics test benches and EV simulation platforms.

–    Assist in debugging models related to converters, inverters, BMS, motor drives, and grid-connected systems.

–    Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure smooth project execution and post-sales satisfaction.

–    Travel for client meetings, installation, and training when required.

Requirements

    –     Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field (final-year students may apply).
    –     Strong understanding of Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics, and Control Systems.
    –     Basic knowledge of EV technology, BMS, inverters, converters, or renewable systems is an advantage.
    –     Familiarity with simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, PSCAD, or similar software is a plus.
    –     Good communication and presentation skills.
    –     Ability to understand technical datasheets and specifications.
    –     Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits if required.
